Self Introduction

Hi everyone,
My name is Brandi Press, Im a freshman on campus this year and i enjoy playing rugby. I played throughout high school and would like to continue, joining Ship's Women's Rugby Club. Im highly into music. I listen to a lot of rap and R&B, but also a great deal of pop, and every now and then country. Im also very interested in seeking a career in Criminal Justice, though i am undeclared as of now. I would like to pursue a career in the secret service once i have gone through the necessary requirements. Im most interested in this class because I like to read interesting material that somehow has an effect on me, or in which i can relate. The last book i read was in this sociology class i took over the summer, here at ship. The book was called, Cows, Pigs, Wars, and Witches, by Marvin Harris. Though it was difficult to understand and read, i finished the book with the help of my professor.  Past experiences dealing with literature were all pleasant. I took a variety of literature courses in high school. My favorite would be minority lit because diversity has played a role in the way one chooses to compose. I was mostly interested in Maya Angelou and the works she created and the feedback she got. Literature to me is a combination of works put together by anyone who creates an image or passes on a message to the reader/audience.
