This semester in Intro to Lit was fun, in reading articles to novels, I have gained a better understanding in problems that face our society today. Most of the materials we read during the weeks all had connecting themes. From each piece I learned something new, example, from Its Got to be the cheese article, my eyes were opened to the way others may view America, which I wouldn’t disagree. Other themes were plentitude and our fascination with violence and what makes it entertaining. While many of the material we read angered me it made me think differently about what it actually meant and made me realize how true it is. A lot of the messages are helpful and can apply to the society we live in today. The other materials we covered excited me, I was happy to agree with some of the views and standpoints the authors had. Now when I read, it become obvious to me the message and I am able to relate and see what the author is trying to get across. With a lot of the material we have read it closely relates to reality TV that appears on television screens today. Overall this semester has been a great one in class, I enjoy all of the members in my group and I know that I have learned more in this class than just what the book was about, there was a deeper meaning and the opinion of classmates helped.

I'm the member you enjoyed most! I'm just Kidding. I like how you stated that we discussed the fact that all of our texts had connecting themes. I Never liked that Cheese poem. It made me mad. But I liked how you quoted the first text we read. That made me realize how long we've actually been in class. I'm glad that you gained the ability to relate what you watch with what you read. Its been fun working with you this year. You always have funny explanations for things oh, plus you have that tongue piercing that freaked me out at first. Have a good rest of the year!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Brandi did her blog this week :)
ReplyDeleteI think you did a good job of wrapping up the ideas and meaning we got from this class. I agree with you about liking how all the things we learned about this semester all connected like one big story. Its been real.
Overall good blog, short, sweet and to the point.
I liked the way you wrapped up your final thoughts about the material we covered in class and the thoughts on the class in general. And I have to agree with you even when I didn't like what we were reading or it made me angry it also had the habit of opening my eyes up and getting me to question and think about what was going on. Nice final blog post. :)
